If mike is going as per the rumour i would say the market would consider that very big news. Shorters probably pushed him off the cliff.
When i met mike at the AGM he was not in a great state. He was hurt by the social media attacks that he felt were very unjustified and the remuneration packages that were voted heavily against. Shareholders not taking notice of the new share price base for FFX on which his package was based on.
I would not be surprised if this whole process simply wore him out and he is handing the reigns back to Alistair.
