Interesting reading the Cyprus blurb about their exploration:

"Lithium mineralization occurs within montmorillonite clays throughout the sediments to a depth of at least 150 meters. Metallurgical testing indicates low cost processing can be achieved by leaching with low acid consumption (126 kg/t) and high lithium recovery over 85% Li."

It looks like before they can do any DLE, they first have to extract the lithium from the clay, with acid (and discard toxic waste?).

So it is possible that their low availability of lithium is not suitable for Lilac. NOT that Lilac is a bad DLE process!
