You, as a shareholder, would clearly not be OK with the company issuing extra shares if the announcement turns out to be extremely material.
You are given a vote for a reason. It is in your best interests to vote the way you believe is in yours and the company's best interests.
If you believe the extra share placement should be voted against, that's what you should do!
