Although I am not completely surprised by this capital raise, the timing is pretty bad. I was hoping convertible notes would be used to avoid an on-market capital raise until the share price at least recovered a bit.
AAU management knows more about why it needed to be done this way than we do, I guess. Maybe the quarterly report, which is due soon, will shed some light on it.
