It is possible the update will be bad news. After all, since the 4 Nov announcement all we've received in way of information is:
- 4DS convinces an industry veteran to come out of retirement and become CEO of an unknown ASX-listed microcap.
- 4DS and imec were satisfied with the short loop and progressed PL3 to the etch stage. This dramatically increases the likelihood PL would be successfully processed.
- Subsequent testing of the short loop wafers confirmed the decision to progress to the etch phase.
- Directors and employees (current and former) exercised options, only just in the money, to bring in well over $1m and pretty much fund an entire quarter of operations.
- During imec's initial testing, the market was informed that PL3 wafers had been successfully manufactured.
But there is still a possibility it could be bad news coming.
