"Obscene" SP gain sounds nice.

You just can't go past GCY's ability to monetize their high grade finds without having to sink hundreds of millions more into CAPEX for a new plant.
Even with this advantageous edge, GCY's GN discovery still remains largely ignored by the market.
Will this change after this latest announcement?
Who really knows.
We do know GCY is continuing to build some serious positive momentum over the last few months.
The overdue reserve and resource update will be incredibly important.
Estimating a figure for this is an extremely difficult exercise with such incomplete data.


So on point about your selling early call Wassa.

The problem with many traders/investors is managing liquidity.
Everyone should have at least 6 months worth of cash set aside.
This helps to ease any temptation one would have to grab early profits.

Another thing traders/investors should do is study themselves.
Understand your own strengths and weaknesses.

I have a gambling streak that I need to inhibit.
I temper this by trading/investing through multiple portfolios.
Each portfolio has it's specific rules and objectives.

One portfolio is purely for speculative plays.
People might think I'm crazy but I never saw GCY as speculative play.
GCY always lived in my mid term investment portfolio.
I've only ever been an accumulator of GCY shares during my 18 months as a SH.
I now sit comfortably within the top 50 shareholders at an average price that's not far from the current SP.




If there was one overriding piece of advice I could give any new traders it would be trade to a plan.
Failing to plan is planning to fail.

That's coming from someone who has made this mistake far too many times in my nearly 30 years of trading/Investing.
Mistakes are to be encouraged but only if we learn from them.
Make any plan, start small, then refine your plan over time.
The best way to learn is through doing.
I've learnt all these lessons the hard way unfortunately.
