If the SP is below the SPP price and you want more then there is good reason to buy on market. You will end up paying some brokerage but you have the certainty about how many you get. With the SPP you may apply for a certain amount and hand over your money only to later be scaled back (can be a very large percentage). If you are only going to apply for the minimum under the SPP, then the likelihood of a large scale back is less (at least in my experience). All IMO and DYOR.
