Trading is right. I've been expecting the grant myself but stayed out of the discussion. Not sure but I originally thought it was Balama related but that may have changed since the passing of the inflation reduction act. The US needs to rapidly increase the internal processing of minerals to meet the requirements for EV manufactures to qualify for the EV subsidies. Both NVX and SYR are US based.
The Biden administration has to get these grants done before the midterms next month. The grant might bring forward the expansion to 45kt. SYR will be able to order long lead time equipment sooner and as trading said, completely de-risk the expansion.
I'm expecting $300m-$400m
