So you are blaming the company for the economic downturn... or for seizing an opportunity with a strategic investor that they deem will be positive for shareholders going forward? Or perhaps you are blaming them for both? That's fine, of course: once bitten, twice shy... but good to be clear about what actually bit you...
There's a non-zero possibility that if the company had not raised 23M with its option program, it would have run out of cash before this downturn reverses... where would your investment be then? There are many companies trying to raise funds in this environment, who are failing to do so. Not only did IHL successfully do so before macro factors turned south thanks to support from people like you and me, but they are receiving institutional interest even now. That's the sign of a company on a success trajectory through hard times. Maybe, just maybe, we should find some solace in that. It is more than a silver lining: it is the main point.
