It's done to prevent price sensitive knowledge being in some parts of the market, when not yet released to market.
Inevitably people catch wind of data in some companies or partnerships to a degree but it shouldn't happen in theory
Trading halt time is then used for the company to daft and approve the write-up on the data they receive from their JORC partner in this case. Halts are there for good or bad news alike - it's all about whether or not the news is price sensitive. Check out Medibank through their data leak... Halt was clearly not for good news
For here, very sensitive and likely to be share price positive!
