I'm not sure "liquidation" would be categorized as a "financial transaction" and I don't think it would require several days of negotiation as a "simple" motion by the board could do that. Also, Kazia would likely indicate the exploration of "strategic alternatives" for at least a few months before such a case. Could be a capital raise or potentially a loan with overall amounts and covenants to still be negotiated. Could be a licensing deal, but they would probably say it was for "licensing" in that case. However, this is the first such announcement since the CFO was employed, so if the terminology is selected by the CFO, the wording may differ from past announcements.
