They couldn't achieve options being exercised through performance ie: revenue, suckling on the markets tit is Carosa's default setting. Chances that the March 25 options will be exercised now are likely slim, so approximately 100 million options over the past 6 months have been lost to the wind, on a positive that should help mitigate the up coming dilution.
