Because while there was a small procedural 'win' in the court making orders in accordance with the parties consent orders people reaslise there is still the massive hurdle of having both the state and federal governments agree to the permit, that is 2 current governments who have previously said they will oppose the project.

If both governments (or their representatives) refuse the permit the only recourse will be another round of expensive litigation (shareholders paying) and the considerable time this will take. A project going nowhere until either government approval or a win in court is never great for a SP. There are people on these threads talking like its a forgone conclusion that the project is a goer, whereas in my opinion, in reality they are relying on 2 current governments renigging on their previous strong representations on the very issue. The toxic left of politics and hand wringing moderate liberals at state level have the potential to bog this project into a quagmire of litigation. If people disagree with this and believe it will be rubber stamped from here then I wish them the best with their investment. I accept Its politics and strange things happen. My wife tells me I am right exactly less than half the time...
