I'd he surprised if PRL asked for a trading halt only to extend the negotiation time for the SHA with Total Eren. If the trading halt was applied for to avoid a sell down by investors who were privy to the extension, this would still occur on a much larger scale when the extension was announced early next week, so essentially delaying the inevitable.

My thinking the last six months was that the SHA was never going to be executed until the WA government export study with PV1 was released in order for the parties to have a better understanding on whether it was actually commercially feasible to link the production in Carnarvon with customers in Asia. This has now occurred (31/01/23) with the report highlighting PV1's compressed shipping solution and enough time for each of the parties to properly go over the report and possibly hold further discussions with project partners and off takers.
