Whoever leaked the details of this deal to the media did so with malicious intent.
With only 24hrs before the half yearly results were due to be released and any potential for a price kick from that has been wiped out!
The malicious leak of this news to the media doesn't benefit current shareholders and less so the minnows.
In my opinion this leak benefits the potential suitors only!
The board must suspend negotiations with the potential suitor and open an investigation into the leak.
As they say its only a 'potential major transaction'.
