Spot on EW - my first thoughts also, except they don’t have the board % numbers to dictate a board position.
I do not think they do anyway , unless is also due to new significant holders who have accumulated during this long hiatus in the past 2 years, seeking to help guide and secure their investment forwards now.

Clearly Merchant would be in contact and have always wanted the best also.
I thought the write- up itself was the most interesting aspect- Andrew C is not a scientist, does not have the personal high understanding or really close interest in the medical science and compelling mechanisms of action, IP, global developments etc. relating to Zantrene and Race. Explanation revealed closer attention and interest & succinct sum- up of RAC situation.
Biotech now as about to be leading sector again and Andrew C and his funds have focused into RAC and biotech.
Clearly they think , with their knowledge, that it is time.
But the writing was really good , scientifically written.
