Another highly speculative thought on what this might be all about ....
1. BP (eg Otsuka) have seen enough data to want a seat at the table
2. RAC says thanks but we are already fully funded & don't need any more capital, don't want to be diluted anyhow.
3. JC volunteers to take one for the team & partially/fully sells down & maybe gives up his board seat
4. BP get a front row board seat to keep a close eye on developments, perhaps in conjunction with more formal & mutually beneficial partnership agreement.
Remember Danny was bought on as the corporate deal maker. We haven't heard boo from him yet, so this could be his doing.
Anyway just my mind running free, hopefully happy days ahead !
