I think what you meant to say is BMCG received 10m shares to provide security to proceed with the following announcements that allowed construction to continue until completion. This also gave WKT more bargaining power to achieve a debt funding deal as essentially they did not have a gun to their head. This may of also added a level of security for the final debt deal.
These share were not “given to BMCG” for nothing in return.
As above a small price to pay imo.
