The settlement would not be until tomorrow our time, the share price was starting to drift yesterday, the recent rise in the share price indicates that the market thinks the $17.5 mill is significant news, by 3 o clock this afternoon it is highly likely that there would be a tumble in the price because shareholders start to panic the deal won't go through . Calling a trading halt puts a stop to that volatility and gives us a good price to springboard from when the announcement is provided, makes sense to me. If people are already querying the trading halt that is stating it is to do with settlement of the Juruena sale right when the settlement date falls due imagine what would happen if they heard nothing today particularly in the overall jittery share market mentality. I thought today was going to be a good buying opportunity but the company shot me down.
