On that note, was anyone privvy to the recent RAP buy out? The negotiations with Pfizer was similar to a CR, in it was price per share etc.
But damn that was slow.
The share price stalled for ages, because no one was silly enough to consider bidding higher than the buy-out offer, with the possibility of greater subsequent offers on hand.
The point being, if the market is aware of an impending CR, it would have dampened any SP increase after the FDA news anyway, as smart buyers would wait out to see what the CR price would be prior to committing their money.
At the end of the day a CR is where the market loses its ability to call what the SP shall be, as its whatever BOT wants to offer. And heck, who would want that situation to hang around? Get it done, get it dusted.
