A consideration re: ECE. ECE has a nominee director on ARU's BOD. That director is obligated to act in the best interests of all shareholders.
I actually think it's in the best interests of ARU's shareholders for ECE to offload its entire holding in an off market transaction, likely precipitating the removal of said nominee director. You'd have to do some painstaking research to figure out their average buy-in price, but I reckon it's probably in the high 20s? So at 50c ECE is making a very tidy "face-saving" profit.
The recent off-market sale by ECE to reduce its holding to <5% was very significant IMO. I for one hope that trend continues. Gina holds a blocking stake now, not ECE.
