Hi Pottermore, Conventional coring provides the primary means of obtaining high quality rock samples of the Kingia Formation sandstone for the direct measurement of rock and reservoir properties. Core samples are then used to perform Routine Core Analysis and/or Special Core Analysis to obtain detailed petrophysical data such as porosity (pore volume) and importantly permeability (permeability is a property of porous material (e.g. Kingia Formation sandstone) that is an indication of the ability for fluids (gas or oil) to flow through them. Fluids can more easily flow through a material with high permeability (high gas flow rates) than one with low permeability (lower gas flow rates).
