To raise during TIDES and just prior to Bio23 in Boston early June is probably the most suspicious timing possible. To be in the midst of a retail based raising during these presentations to which management is sending is senior staff is unlikely.
The price level and target were well prepared for months, one can argue for 12 months, at least. Broker algorithms were in play for a very prolonged period almost deeming company off market.
Larger new investors coming on board prior to US partnering is my guess. this will not include current shareholders in my humble opinion.
Rohan's quote of PYC being in the sweet spot for acquisition or licence deals is coming to fruition and this capital raised now is the first step in the process.
Otherwise, one might argue, to raise now during presentations when finally all data is in place, would put zero confidence of management towards success of those p[artnering discussions to be held next month. I certainly doubt that to be true.
