that is a thought that crossed my mind some years ago but I am not a geologist so I would hope others more knowledgeable than me , maybe spovend , can weigh in here . First up the brine is suspended in a porous halite / sand mixture , and this acts to a degree to hold it in place, a sponge would be a better metaphor than just a pool of liquid that can easily move , which is what this idea is implying .

Hence its not like this is just a giant pool of liquid , and we all have 4 straws and whoever is first to draw , can quickly drain the entire said basin . So the resource just cant up and move quickly to wherever this is being pumped from leaving nothing where we have staked .

Secondly you have to appreciate the scale of distance involved . From memory the entire salar is like 50 klms in width in both directions , east to west and north to south . That is a long way said brine molecules have to traverse through sand / halite if they can easily move around .

Thirdly as Aydee pointed I am sure there is some detailed science that goes into those well pumping tests and flow rates that is designed to understand if indeed this is a risk . Those tests indicate the brine is localised to our site , we are not drawing on molecules that sit 20 klms away on Livent tenements . Anyway I am not geo but when I tried to understand this a little better a few years back I concluded this was a non risk .
