Well you take that assessment by Novitas and chuck it in the rubbish bin. Novitas has failed to take on board a lot of clinical evidence and support from the urology community in the States which demonstrates that the test are a major step forward in the assessment of bladder cancer. It has looked at the PEB information and supporting statements with blinkers on. Possible even with eye patches covering both eyes. If you read the commentary by Peter Meintjes you will find that management is convinced that that blinkered vision can be worked on and a better understanding by Novitas can be achieved. It will take time perhaps and probably require more data and more compelling support from the urologists that have come to value what they perceive as the benefits of having the test at their disposal.
