Yes, but the lumpiness does tend to show some consistently better and worse quarters around the predicted revenue. So some quarters are consistently stronger or weaker. that seems to cause problems for people when a slightly weaker growth quarter follows a stronger growth quarter. Without your model to show what actually happened the headless chickens start running around.
