Regarding you comments about shorters, it crossed my mind that this idea of requesting a trading halt for revenue updates could be a strategy he has devised to frustrate the shorters.
By calling a trading halt, he is trapping them in their positions and not allowing them to quickly exit when things turn against them. They are then forced to liquidate at whatever level the market opens at later. If they get caught out a few times then maybe they will start to think twice about shorting the stock.. Especially like as in today when the announcement came later in the day, allowing them to place their bets before being trapped.
