this is statement is bias toward nickel sulphide (generally) but typically most globally significant nickel deposits are found within small UM intrusions. the very large UM intrusions are often barren.
you get broad gravity anomalies everywhere but you don't get broad grav anomalies with matrix sulphide next to a conductor that's spatially related to it with a chalcocite deposit overlaying the anomaly.
