Apparently Anode manufacturers are asking for Graphite of 99.995% Purity.
In a previous statement due to Titanium content they would reach around 99.98%
One would expect that the current testing would have used temperatures of a minimum of 3000 degrees.
While 3000 degrees would not be high enough to remove titanium metal, it is more than enough to remove titanium oxide, and should have a reasonable crack at removing titanium dioxide the most likely largest contaminant.
I expect when the results get released today they will have reached a thermal purification level above 99.995% therefore allowing the direct sale of the product to battery anode manufacturers.
In addition the latest thermal purification methods appear to cost less than using hydrofluoric acid.
Not all graphite deposits are compatible with thermal purification as depending on the contaminates that exist within the graphite some remain above 3000C. As the company has put the company in a trading halt, I expect that we will see a purification level above 99.995% or at least a joint mechanical, chemical, and thermal pathway, that does not use hydrofluoric acid to take us well beyond 99.995%
