Not sure why new CEO comp is an issue when the previous CEO was earning more for 10+ years when the company was not profitable and burning tons of cash. Shareholders didn't ask him to take his salary in equity/options only. Now she has to come in and clean up the mess he left and right the ship with few resources. Any CEO worth their salt would demand to be paid appropriately.
