Maybe clearing their current ongoing SB royalty commitments, to put them in a more favourable position to negotiate sale of SB/BOT to other potential pharmaceutical companies looking to acquire them.
Other pharmaceutical companies wouldn’t want to buy the business with the obligation of paying ongoing royalties on a growing business.
