IMO, unless you're some kind of crazy philanthropist, mums/dads/newbies should tread extremely carefully when putting their hard earned into this extremely speculative investment, even more so if averaging down. DYOR, only put in what you can afford/prepared to lose, etc. Nothing's changed in that respect in 20 years.
Just sayin'.
