Not that I think it's likely, however the government is prepared to invest in for-profit miners to bring processing on shore. An example is the $1b limited recourse loan to get a rare earth refinery at Eneabba. A similar thing for tungsten in QLD would be a boon for the state, if matched with processing of copper, QLD could start moving away from it's reliance on energy. Though costs may be prohibitive given the state's budget, unless they are going to give/lend EQR the full $245m they have earmarked for critical minerals. Regardless, I agree it is not likely.
