I wasintrigued by the TH re Mozambique leases so checked the Mozambique cadastre portalhttps://portals.landfolio.com/mozambique/en/.
EL5966was the Nicanda Hill lease, seems it’s now known as 11526. A couple of bits atthe southern edge have been excised, these cover local villages.
Curiously,the lease is now held by “Mozambique Yulong Mining Development”, applicationdate was 4 May 2023. (Licenca de prospeccao e pesquisa = prospecting andresearch license, em vigor = in effect).
The 28April 2023 Quarterly Activities stated Triton was “making every effort toobtain a renewal of the (EL5966) licence and will keep the market updated inthis regard.”
Perannouncement on 1 May 2023 the $5M placement to Shandong Yulong was completedas all conditions precedent had been met.
It’s late and I haven’ttrawled through all announcements to check how these are related. Is MozambiqueYulong Mining Development a subsidiary of Triton or is there some otherexplanation? If there was any significant development I’d have hoped thecompany would have announced it before now.
