How does the scale back work, though ?Is it based on how many you apply for, or on how many you already own? Is there a standard way that all companies use to do the scale back, or can it vary from company to company?
You have to be careful not to apply for more than you want, or are prepared to pay for, just in case a company decides to accept all money. Then the share price can fall to very close to the offer price, and you don't make as much as you think you might by selling.
I apologize that the above is expressed rather clumsily. Anyone with experience in SPP's - please comment!
