I am not a shareholder.
when I read of the proposal of YBR to Delist, I knew immediately just what a lousy outcome it was for the long-suffering shareholders of YBR.
IMHO The worst outcome for s/h in any ASX listed coy would be receivership/liquidation.
Probably the next worst scenario would be a Delisting.
there is a really damning article in todays AFR.
It sums up some of the issues.
What is top of mind here is that the Delisting proposal needs s/h approval to go through. Needs Special Resolution -> which is 75% of votes cast at meeting.
Problem is that ALL s/h can vote ---> ergo the Top 4 hold 64.3% of shares, so they can and will vote. Given not all s/h will vote, that 64.3% would probably get over the line and proposal would pass.
The 2022 A/R shows about 1473 shareholders in YBR
The Top 4 s/h own bulk of shares in YBR.
So just how many s/h on this forum are angry enough to put up a fight??
Because when YBR Delists you will have buckleys opportunity to trade your shares.
You do have the opportunity to argue against this proposal if you wish.
Cheapest (and quickest) avenue is Takeovers Panel.
You just need a few s/h willing to have a go.
