    Mali & neighbours have numerous Gold Mines including in the North.
    The Western operators of these mines have never reported any trouble re rebels.

    Now if I was a rebel I'd rob a gold mine before a lithium mine
    A bit easier to steel 1 kilogram of gold as opposed to a tonne of spodumene which they'd have no market for.
    1 kg gold = $61,000
    1 tonne spod = $3,000 if you could sell it
