The FFX issue is a serious unknown and likely the reason Ganfeng wanted to avoid the LLL placement.

We are employing 1300 people, next week could be 900. Equipment is held up in bond warehouses overseas awaiting on tax treatment clarification. The next week 700 etc etc etc Cease O/S sourcing if tax implications. Kill employment and early tax revenue. SO BE IT.

Until you have clarification on tax there is no way one piece of equipment should be entering Mali unless they know the tax rate after the initial issue arose.

And the Mining code 100% guarantee the company is working under the current or new. Clean this up Neg or Positive.

What Rick thinks or Simon thinks on the ming code is bollocks unless confirmed in writing by the Govt. We think..... Useless boys.

They need to be completely transparent.

Anything less would be a dereliction of duties to the company and SH best interest.

Agreed with the assessment of the situation. I feel Ganfeng's view is LLL is potentially f*ed so took project level knowing they can work with whoever is in charge of Mali. Why take the ownership % of a company you know the government is coming after right?

Disagree on the hardline approach. Carrot or the stick....Africa works on feeding them carrots. Perhaps our Chinese partners can help on that front.

Also agreed on the new mining code. Doesn't apply just as much as duties "don't apply".
