I agree - the material info could really be anything,
However one thing I will say, is that a Trading Halt, is not just granted out by the ASX, they only allow this, if the company has material info but cannot release it immediately for a good reason.
Part of the continuous disclosure rules mean they have to release info immediately (good or bad) to the market, unless they can show there is a good reason to hold off (and they get a TH) which has happened.
Of course, I am hoping they are negotiations, or the BOD have an emergency meeting to discuss TO options.
