nyc, dont think i draw the same conclusion about management being incapable.
big companies dont become big companies by playing easy. i am completely open to management engaging with risk by holding off to preserve shareholder interests and avoid dilution but then negotiations taking a different turn making a raise necessary.
maybe this time it didnt come off. doesnt mean it wasnt a prudent decision at the time. hard to know without full visibilty.
