How many times have you seen a trading halt, and a "material acquisition" announcement ? for any stock.
I have plenty of times, and i have never recalled any of them for a furtherance of the existing tenure.

It has always from my experience related to something new. Otherwise, why a trading halt.?
It does not make any sense to halt, for a tick a box exercise. They would just do it, and move on. No halt required.

The Halt is to allow them time to either complete a transaction so that there is no insider trading, or give the market time to be alerted to a change in material asset.

Something material, is something tangible. Something of substance.
IMO.

Anyway, all shall be revealed in due course.

The Capital raising, can come with the announcement, it does not need to be foreshadowed.
