I had a 1926 Chev when I was a youngster in the 50's -I should have hung on to that would have suited you down to the ground. Could change the spark plugs - clean the carby - tow it - better than my Hilux hey ! Or a Nissan 4wd I bought in 1969 for $3,000 - went right out in the Paterson Range before they found Telfer.
You need to put yourself on the mailing list of a few newsletters on the EV boom -like I receive every day - I think you will change your mind real quick about how fast electrification is impacting the trucking industry. And they are big batteries man.
