Ha ! You are fighting a losing battle mate - much of what you say is true but with so many battery technologies and the rapid pace of change no stopping electrification. I have had a pacemaker for about 5 years - with luck the battery lasts 10 years -I wouldn't be here without that little battery. Warfare is going to be fought with drones -in the main powered with LiPo batteries. And for underground mining they are brilliant -even though I used horses as a horse wheeler hauling out coal at Scottsville coal mine near Bowen in the late 50's before I graduated to a miner on a banjo. And my father had a dairy farm at Gympie -I went to school at Closeburn - Samford before the Boer War lol. Mum hauled me on her back up Mt Glorious and we lived in an iron bark humpy when I was knee high to a grasshopper.
The problem at the moment is cost -inflation -wars and to some degree the love of our old ICE's in USA and Australia. And more for those who can afford to take that step. My wife's daughter has a Tesla on a retiree's pension -her son just bought a Mecedes EV a cool price of $275,000. ( I would rather waste it on a spec explorer) but that's us old fellas who have been over a lot of dry gullies. With silicon anodes and then with luck lithium metal anodes batteries just keep getting better and now with niobium -why I am in that space with ground in the West Arunta north of WA1 - batteries just keep getting better -
