There is an existing tank farm area at Broome. There is a large storage tank which was originally constructed for oil from the Blina field but is now used for diesel storage and has a capacity of about 28.79 ML. There are oil lines in place between the tank farm and the Port Jetty .
They have started work on the new jetty, which will be a floating facility and have the capacity to work over a greater tidal range. I have no idea what a new tank would cost and how long it would take. But what I do know is that the space and infrastructure is already in place at the Port.
