Looks like the victory is on the Embera Karambá Indigenous community side. The court has viewed that the prior consultation with the indigenous community has been insufficient and violating their fundamental right for the land they own. The court recently has ordered to reopen the pre-consultation with the Embera Karambá community, while adhering to the current constitutional, legal and jurisprudential guidelines before any mining activities in Quinchia region, this includes any exploitation phases as well as exploration activities. OK, this means that we will need to wait for at least 2-3 years for this to be completed.
