I feel the catastrophe interpretations of this news are extremely well covered here - for balance, are there glass-half-full (or quarter-full) takes to consider concerning the timing or nature of this type of "financial transaction" / capital raise on:

1. partnering negotiations?
2. ongoing financial contexts?
3. trials?
4. FDA wrangling?
5. something else?

Is there a way this could be a precursor to a yet-to-be-articulated immediate/short-term positive development on any of these fronts (the old 'third leg')?
