The 3000-meter depth achieved was in yesterday's announcement, and pardon my ignorance, we don't know exactly when they hit that depth. They could have written up that announcement over the weekend or Friday to release it on Monday. Subsequently, continuing to drill between that time and thus reaching a lower depth.
It doesn't strike me as improbable that they got much closer to the 3400 target and were able to attain a sample
