Why attempt the takeover when you must know the ERD is close to acceptance.

If anything was going to muddy the waters, then impending EPA approval would be near the top - you can add NT agreement being done as well - and the 5th revision 'abbreviation' in the fore piece of the ERD, shows the last revision was for - Native Title agreement (see ERD doc).

Again so why NOW.

If I had to guess - and it's a guess - I'd say that AVL has been given a deadline to get this merger done, or the 'Money' will make a choice on one or the other.

I'd also suggest it's related to Critical Mineral Grants.

It certainly seems to be time-sensitive though, as this takeover could have been done anytime in the last 2-3 years with ease.

could AVL need a CR in the next quarter or two, and without a merged group this will be difficult as investors might not be prepared to wait for another few more years. But with TMT as its jewel in the crown, being more advanced in its planning and approvals, and as has been mentioned by others will attract the necessary funding. This benfits avl more than tmt IMO.
