I agree with you.
No one in their right mind would accept $50 if the clinical results reflect the pre-clinical results across all age groups. Maybe different is there are some challenges in the younger age groups.
NEU based on Trofinetide potential along in the next 12 to 18 months is probably worth A$50.
At A$50 per share based on the current AUD$ v US$ exchange rate would only equate to a takeover price of US$3.91bn ... I just can't believe the NEU Board and Jon would accept such a low ball offer if NNZ-2591 delivers good results across all age groups. I don't even think A$100 per share (US$7.8bn market cap) would be a reasonable offer given 2591 huge potential globally.
Something to consider ..... the big Super Funds are starting to take strategic stakes in many Australian companies and they are starting to show their strength in blocking takeovers. PS: Refer to AUs Super blocking Origin takeover.
Anyway, we all have an opinion which really doesn't count for much at the end of the day.
I hope the message tomorrow is good for everyone who is counting on the trial for positive outcomes ... especially those suffering.
