TonyWAIW: A great post by you - many THANKS indeed for writing this one (which completely reflects my thought patterns as well). The only "issue" one could debate in my view is the necessary value-point of the potential BP 'lobbed' TO price. A$50 would for sure get it done - but just perhaps even an all cash offer quite a bit lower would also 'do the trick' for a BP...?? Of course, the higher the better !
Just musings on my part and I do NOT expect any takeover-offer immediately - but perhaps not too far away in the new year 2024? Perhaps a BP is aiming at the "January window", when traditionally not excessive attention is put in Australia on the ASX - as it is a kind of "holidays" month. Or do I perceive this wrongly?
